Made to be lived with, lovingly.
Our pieces are made from natural fibres and dyes, designed to age gracefully and last for years. A little gentle care keeps them looking beautiful — here's how.
Natural by nature, kind by design.
Our products are made from natural fibres and dyes. We don't use petrochemical-based dyes or materials, as these take vast amounts of time to break down and ultimately seep into the environment. Our pieces are made to gently return to the earth after many years of enjoyment — and so they ask to be cared for gently in return.
Care by product.
Find your piece below for tailored guidance. When in doubt, gentler is always better.
Indoor Cushion Covers
Hand-wash with a gentle detergent, or machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water. Hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat (linen and cotton may shrink in high heat). Block prints develop a beautiful patina and soften with age — the natural dyes may fade to a more subtle hue. Just as leather gains character with wear, so do our cushions.
Spot wash when necessary with diluted detergent — we recommend orange oil fabric cleaners. Hand-wash the full cover sparingly with a gentle detergent, or machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water. Hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat (linen and cotton may shrink in high heat).
Hand-wash and spot-wash only, then hang or lay flat to dry. Use diluted detergent — we recommend orange oil based fabric cleaners.

Outdoor Cushion Covers
We use high-quality Agora Tuvatextil fabric for our outdoor cushions. Cared for properly, these will stay looking premium and last for many seasons — the long life of your piece truly depends on how you look after it.
Every Agora® solution-dyed acrylic fabric offers an exceptional combination of strength and functionality. The fabrics are designed to be strong, durable, and resistant, with a water-resistant finish that makes them stain repellent, easy to clean, and low maintenance.

Feather Inserts
When you receive your cushions, be sure to fluff your inserts thoroughly. We ship them compressed to save everyone on shipping costs — but with a little fluffing, they'll come up beautifully.
To fluff your insert, first pull the sides in and out several times. Then do the same with the corners, pulling and pushing them in towards the centre. The aim is to get as much air between the feathers as possible — this makes for a very plush, plump cushion.
If your cushion begins to flatten over time, simply re-fluff as above. You can also set your insert out in the sunshine to rejuvenate and air it out.
Silk Quilts
Think of it like a good silk shirt — it needs a soft touch, and rewards you with many years of luxurious wear. Our quilts are 100% cotton wadded with cotton lining, so they breathe.
- Always use a top sheet and a cotton blanket underneath for layering, so the quilt isn't in constant contact with you. It can be rolled back in the warmer months.
- Silk loves to be aired weekly — it does wonders in a gentle breeze — and dry cleaned a few times a year.
- To spot clean small marks, use a damp linen or cotton cloth with a warm steam iron to apply steam to the spot. A little orange oil fabric cleaner works well on marks too. Steam cleaning is a lovely way to refresh the whole quilt — but not too hot, it's dupion silk.
- If you have a darling pet who likes to sleep with you, pop their special blanket on top.
- Quilts can be washed, but sparingly. Keep in mind they're too large for most domestic machines thanks to their generous proportions. A dry cleaner will need to be extra gentle with the silk fibres, and a cool steam iron will bring them back to their shiny selves. As it's pure silk and not synthetic, expect a small amount of natural fibre change and slight shrinkage after washing.
