Handmade indoor cushions, made to layer

Every indoor cushion at BHD Home begins in our own production studio — cut, embroidered and finished by hand, the way we have worked since 1993. Expect natural linens and cottons, velvets, raffia and hand-beaded embellishment, in palettes drawn from the Australian coast and countryside.

Our covers are made to mix. Pair a patterned lounge cushion with plain piped linen, add a lumbar for the front row, and change the whole room without changing the sofa. Work in odd numbers — three on a two-seater, five across a large sofa — and let one feature cushion be the full stop.

All covers are sold cover-only, with feather inserts available to give that full, soft profile. Designed on the Gold Coast, handmade by artisans — nothing we make is mass produced.
